I’m finishing up my last year at law school and looking for a summer sublet with my fiance. He’s 28 and I’m 27. We met while we were at college and have been together ever since. We both lived in midtown Manhattan in between college and law school (He worked as a consultant, and I worked as a paralegal) for 3 years, and we’ve been back every summer since. We have lived in Hell’s Kitchen, Columbus Circle, Union Square, the Upper West Side, and West Village. We have subletted several times from Craiglist and would be happy to give you references! We’ve also subletted from Craiglist ourselves, so we understand how important it is to find a responsible and respectful subletter. We’re excited about coming back again while we study for the bar exam for two months.

I honestly can’t imagine that we’d be in the apartment much at all. We’ll both be studying for the bar exam and strongly prefer studying in the library setting to focus. We will be taking classes at NYU for most of the day anyway. We have really missed living in Manhattan and are really just looking for a convenient place to stay. We are both very clean and considerate, especially both having lived in small apartments in Manhattan. Our ideal dates are June 1st to July 31st, but we realize those aren’t necessarily the most convenient dates for subletting. Our dates are extremely flexible. We have family and friends to stay with, if our dates do not match up perfectly.

We definitely don’t smoke, have pets, and will not have anyone over in the apartment. We will respect your belongings. We’re particularly interested in living in East or West Village, Chelsea, Gramercy, Soho, Tribeca, and Union Square but are definitely open to anything else that’s located near a subway stop. Also, we’d be interested in the UWS too. We don’t mind sharing a room with others in a multi-bedroom apartment, if you’re okay with that too.

- doorman building w/ elevator – we are on the 7th floor of an eight story, and amazingly,.. surprisingly, well kept building- They vacuum everyday.
- amazing large rooftop with panoramic unobstucted views, beautiful well maintained garden, outdoor patio chairs, tables – a serious treat in NYC!!
- each floor has washer/dryer
- charming and unique building with lots of character, subway 2 blocks away, and bus even closer
- lots of closet space, lots of storage space

Gramercy is a great neighborhood with many restaurants, bars, and beautiful parks. In addition, it is central to many great locations – East village and union square is a stroll away downtown, Grand Central to the north, Penn Station and Port Authority across town, Park Ave shopping close by.
